The live CD's are listed in chronological order. The sound quality is noted by letters. A+ is a perfect recording (like an official live release). "A" is excellent, "A-" is good or very good. "B+" is okay or good. "B", "B-" and "C".... are not really good they are for die hard collectors or for people who absolutely want a particular show (for example they were there or some rare songs are played....). Ain't Slash Grand (3 CDs). Compilation of GNR, Snakepit and other Slash related tunes recorded by Slash fans (a different band for every track, I even played a track on it!). This is actually a double CD of music but the 3rd CD is featuring all the songs in mp3 format + tons of pictures and infos about each band/performer. There is some 'clicks' on the 2 audio CDs but the mp3's are perfect on the 3rd disc (same songs). Some really kickass performance like Paradise City by "Perfect Roses" from Quebec, Canada and "Double Talking Jive" by Peter Hafele from Europe, amazing!.

Great audience recording of Slash's riffs live in Danmark, summer 1995. At some point, Eric Dover introduces a song like this "Alright, this is called Back And Forth Again" and Slash starts playing "Neither can I"! Great Version of "Jizz Da Pit". Tie Your Mother Down is played, a song written by Queen. The solo of the last song sounds extremely good!

This is a video CD, You can play it on your computer through Windows Media Player for example. the video is 45 minutes long and the quality is very good. Except during "Beggars & Hangers-on", the image is not always good (there is some small cuts) but the rest is very good. There is short interview clips between the songs. This is just Slash and Eric Dover with accoustic guitars. Some cool cover songs are played. Here's the tracklist:

This was one of the last shows before the recording of "Ain't Life Grand" played at the Cowboy Boogie in Anaheim (L.A., California). Many songs played that night didn't end up on the album. The concert was not recorded entirely but the tracklist is still pretty cool. Ryan Roxie was the rythm guitarist, he also played on the Ain't Life Grand album but now Keri Kelli got that cool job. From what I heard, the crowd was a little wild that night but it didn't seem to affect Snakepit!

Slash and his band is opening for AC/DC in New Jersey, USA. Excellent audience recording, the band sound really good and Slash is loud enough (Since Snakepit had many bad comments about their sound during that tour, that's definitely a very good thing to have a bootleg with great sound). Rod is very talkative yelling "new jersey" every time he has an occasion! The intro of "Mean Bone" is featuring some great guitar jam by Slash. Really cool recording! Setlist:

Amazing Bootleg! It's entitled "BALL AND CHAIN". The sound is very good and clear. The whole Ain't Life Grand album is played except for "The Truth" and "Landslide". Great version of It's So Easy and Mr. Brownstone. Cool band introduction by Rod Jackson after Brownstone. Great crowd. Very nice concert!! I have the original CDs for it. Tracklist:

This is one of the 3 shows Slash did with Billy Idol (Snakepit was opening). Since it's not a headlining show, the concert is a little bit shorter than usual so it's just 1 CD. The show is 55 min long and the quality is A-. The CD is also featuring an interview of Slash by a local radio station (recorded before the concert) of Chicago.

Slash Interview at KLOS 95.5 FM (Los Angeles) (1 tape; A+):

What a wonderful interview!!! Slash is extremely interesting and the Interviewer is very good too. They play some still unreleased Snakepit songs like "Been There Lately" (awesome), "Mean Bone" (awesome as well!) and "shine" (cut in the intro. They also play a very cool blues tune (A muddy water cover by Slash and some great signer; very good). They play a GNR song too and they talk alot, they take phone calls and even Slash's Girlfriend calls! it's funny. Running time: around 75 minutes. The tape is edited, all the commercial breaks are removed!

A concert of Snakepit opening for AC/DC. Only the 3rd concert of the tour! Brilliant performance of the guys. This is an opening show so it's not very long (35 minutes or so). The crowd really seem to enjoy "Mr. Brownstone". Nice little guitar jamming by Slash in the intro of "Mean Bone" Sound quality is decent but not perfect; typical audience recording. Setlist:

This is a professionnal video and the image is pretty good (A) and so is the sound (A). It's from italian TV. Slash plays the intro to MY MICHELLE to tease the crowd a little! They seem to enjoy it! Gilby sings on Tijuana Jail and it's an awesome song. alot of jamming too. 75 min long. With this tape is included bonus footage of Slash in 95, including a few live songs from another gig. the quality of this bonus footage is not as good but it's pro shot too.

Slash with Ronnie Wood:

See what happens when Slash and the Rolling Stones' guitarist Ronnie Wood decide to jam together in London, England, UK. Excellent double CD concert. Sound quality is very good, probably soundboard or amazing audience recording. only a little too much distortion sometimes but it's a minor problem really. Digital copy of the original bootleg by Masterport. PARADISE CITY is played (instrumental) with a very long and crazy ending! The intro of that GNR song is a new Snakepit song (also instrumental). Slash's Blues Ball live in Budapest, Hungary 8.14.96 (2 CD's; A-)

Slash's BLUES BALL:

Slash's Blues Ball is a totally spontaneous cover band from hell. That's probably how Slash would describe it. In 1996 the people from some European festival (i think) asked Slash to play in Europe and Slash said he didn't have a band, but they REALLY wanted him so they told him to put a band together and to go play there. So Slash called a few friends, including Teddy Zig Zag (musician with GNR) and they formed "Slash's Blues Ball". They played a set of amazing covers of classic rock tunes and blues tunes. Slash seemed to enjoy that band because they kept touring in clubs until early 1998. I'm lucky to have a couple of amazing recordings (audio and video) of them because they are very rare and the music is just amazing. One of the coolest live band you can imagine. They played Zeppelin, AC/DC, BB King, Jimi Hendrix, Alice Cooper, GNR, Snakepit, Stevie Wonder, Cream, Fleetwood Mac, Steppenwolf, Lenny Kravitz, Elvis Presley, CCR, Muddy Water and so on... As you can see, the ultimate music played by a great band leaded by Slash and his magic guitar. This band is featuring Johnny G. on bass from Snakepit (current line up), that's how Slash met him, with the help of Teddy. Teddy's on vocals. they have a good drummer, a good rythm guitarist and even a sax player. Slash really seemed happy during those concert, seems like alot of fun! That's really some great music on those bootlegs. Alot of solos, jamming, sometimes special guests... really cool.

Released in 2002 in Japan by Metal Sword Records USA, this is a very good sounding bootleg of Slash's Blues Ball. There is 3 sources for this bootleg, First there is Boston 5.28.97 (disc 1 & disc 2 tracks 1-5), then there is London (Docklands Arena) 7.21.97 (disc 2, track 6) and finally the last 2 tracks are from Holland 11.16.97 live at the Paradiso. Kickass version of CCR's Travellin' Band that I've never heard before. Slash plays some Locomotive in it!!!!! This is one of my favourite bootleg EVER. I own the original 2-CD set. Tracklist:

This is an audience shot but it's in a small club and the camera is VERY close and the image is amazingly good (A+). Good close ups. The show is cut after the cover of "Bring it on Home" (Dixon, Led Zep) which is awesome! Teddy Zig Zag is on vocals. He does a great job on the BB King tune "the thrill is gone". This is great blues mixed with some powerful hard rock! Recommended to all the Slash fans!! Many great songs played:

The Blues Ball gigs definitely are great!!!!! Slash is really amazing in this video again. That is another audience shot but the camera is even closer than the San Antonio show! Some extreme close ups of Slash. Tons of hits are played (Elvis, Cream, Snakepit, Bob Dylan, Kravitz...). Many guest musicians on stage with Slash (including Ryan Roxy, the actual rythm guitarist of Snakepit). The sound and image are very good (A)

Slash live on Loveline Aug.30th 2001 (2 CD's; A):

Slash is the special guest for that 2-hour long radio show. Loveline is a show broadcasted in many stations in the USA, usually people call and ask the doctor about their problems. But on that show some people also call to talk to slash, including some friends of him and also they talk with Slash about what he's doing these days. Of course they talk about the 2 big Michael Jackson shows but also about Guns, Axl and the future for Slash. Slash mentions that he'll be working on new material soon and it could be "just a Slash thing instead of a Snakepit thing" this time, that's a little surprising. I recorded the show directly from the station KMBY 104.3 FM on the internet with a cable connection. The interview is divided in 7 tracks because i cut the commercial breaks. Tracklist:

Slash Interview on Howard Stern's show. Howard Stern is unique and this interview is not just like any interview. Many things are discussed from GNR to genital piercing! Also drugs, Slash's mom, Snakepit, Axl, etc. Eric Dover is in Studio, Slash and him plays "Beggar & Hangers-on" on accoustic guitars (really cool).

Slash interview at "Musique Plus" (French canadian music television): Directly from TV, A+/A+. 17 minutes. Afternoon interview of the man just before the Montreal show (Opening for AC/DC). Date: August 15th 2000. Two videos are included: Good To Be Alive and It's So Easy. Great interview. Rare. (AC/DC was interviewed too just after Slash. it's also available)

Slash on the Late Late show w/Craig Kilborne:
Slash is a guest for this show on CBS aired at the end of July 2001. Slash talks about various things: his first guitar, school, an upcoming show with Michael Jackson... Slash plays a game called "yambo" against another celebrity and he wins the game. Recorded directly from TV by myself.
